How to say “you” in Japanese.
| You in Japanese | Kanji | Romanji |
|---|---|---|
| To friends: | あなた、きみ | anata, kimi |
| To strangers: | あなた | anata |
Please keep in mind though that Japanese usually don’t refer to people in this way, it is much more polite and casual to use their name plus “san” like “Alex-san” or “Tanaka-san”, instead of using “you”.
