Resume, resume, ooh-la-la
Yesterday I spent the whole time at Julie’s. But, the biggest thing about yesterday is that I finally was able to carve out a resume for myself to apply for the rad administration internship. I absolutely hate writing resumes and so I feel really relieved now that it’s over. Now that I’ve looked over it it’s pretty damn bare. Not much to say about myself except that I have good grades and not much else. I’m hoping that no one else will apply for the job so I’ll be the only one and so my application would look way better than no application.
I had ate dinner already before Julie came back yesterday but she was hungry and made herself this dish with rice and a fried egg and a little bit of soy sauce and sesame oil. She let me try some and man it was surprisingly really really good. Well after about eating half of hers I felt guilty and I said let’s make some more and she was alright with that. So while we waited for the rice to cook we played a game of Skip-bee.
Beat diamond yesterday and got on a ship that took me to Kanto which I was really surprised, it’s kind of like two games in one. I didn’t see that coming at all.
Nate has on his facebook status that he is confused and upset. I would have to guess it’s the case that he didn’t get the JASSO. I told him in a bad way because I said to him “You didn’t get the JASSO” in like sort of a statement rather than a question and expected him to talk about it a little more because I figured he already knew. But he took it as if I was asking a question and then I had to repeat it like no, you didn’t. After I told him I could tell he was still in a little bit of denial because he explained how one person got it way later and didn’t know they got it but I think soon after he realized that that probably wasn’t the case. I guess he was really expecting to get it. I guess I would have been upset too if I didn’t get it last year because I was expecting to get it too, so I would have been feeling the same way as him. So I guess that means he probably won’t have as much fun in Japan as he would have if he had gotten it, because let’s face it you need money in Japan to have fun, that includes buying food, alcohol, transportation, admission to shows and theme parks, you name it you gotta have money. I know Nate is gonna be at the bar there all the time so that costs a lot of money after a while. Not as much as an American bar, but still.. The cheapest beer they got is Nama beer that goes for roughly $2 a glass, but it’s good beer and higher alcohol content. I’m just saying that I’m afraid he’ll be worrying about money all the time because he worries about money all the time right now in America and Japan is definitely a hell of a lot more expensive…

Hey, that rice dish sounds like something I used to eat all the time. We always had rice around, along with soy sauce, sesame oil, and eggs! It’s the Korean equivalent of a pbj sandwich, I think! Yummm.
I’ll be happy to add your blog to my link list, too!
