Our First Football Game

As I write this it is 7:30pm and it feels much later than it really is because Julie and I woke up so much earlier than normal. We woke up took a quick shower and headed out to pick up our tickets for the game against Youngstown at the Schott. On the way Julie bought a red Ohio State shirt at the UBX bookstore but she had to walk around just holding it most of the time because we couldn’t find an open bathroom anywhere around the area. Our first stop was the bar next to the gas station, the one we went with Jared and a whole bunch of other people the day of the party at Adam S.’s house. I ordered two blue moons and Julie and I stood in the middle of the bar and drank it. I didn’t really feel anything until 3/4ths of the way done with the beer but I could see that Julie was feeling it already and she was really happy and smiley and talkative. I was really happy about that because she had said a couple of times this morning that she didn’t even feel like drinking at all. After we left that bar we were making our way towards high street to go to that bar behind the UDF and as we approached the corner where BW3s is we saw a bunch of people on the patio and inside and Julie wanted to go inside and so we did, and we bought two bud lights in a plastic bottle and stood in the middle of bw3’s bar and drank those. Again Julie and I just stood around talking and it was really fun and I enjoyed just being able to hang out and talk with her. After that we headed to the UDF bar and ordered two coronas and two shots of jagger. I actually meant to order a jaggershot but when I said jagger and the lady asked me straight jagger or jaggershots I thought what the hell and went with the one with more liquor. So Julie and I took the shot, stood around a little while and took a picture of the drawing that one of our friends drew on the wall the last time we were there and we sat down at a crowded picnic bench and drank the rest of it. At about 11:50 we left for the game and Julie seemed a bit drunk and pointed at a couple walking in the grass and said, “I’m gonna remember them later!”, and pointed at the guy wearing the jersey in front of us and said, “I’m gonna remember that number 80 later!”, and it was pretty funny. Well when we got to the stadium and found our seats the game had already started. We looked around and were amazed at the number of people in the stadium and that almost every seat was filled and with someone wearing a red shirt. The seats weren’t that bad they’re right on the corner of the endzone. The people sitting to the right of us though seemed pretty well, let’s just say they seemed like average everyday people and I wondered if those were the kids that Ayaka signed up to sit with since we went with Ayaka’s group. Well it was really hot and being that Julie and I don’t really care about sports we got bored of the game pretty quick and we ended up leaving at halftime. The thing that really sucks though is that Julie got really sick in the middle while we were there and she’s still feeling really sick now laying in bed, I guess she just drank too much and too fast. But anyways after the game we were starving and talking about where to go and we decided to go to Joy’s village, but we took a couple of stops along the way for Julie. We first stopped at a bench under the tree near the art building because Julie wanted to rest “for just 2 minutes”, and then we took another break at the bench next the Derby building and took another break “for just 2 minutes”. When we got to Joy’s we ordered the beef lo mien instead of the usual pad thai chicken, big mistake. We ended up with two very salty dishes, and on top of that they didn’t even give us that much lo mien this time. Well after we left we came back to Julie’s and quickly fell asleep. We woke up just a little bit ago and now I’m typing this.

Nate wrote on my wall that Japan is a pretty wild place and that he’ll have to talk to me on skype because he’s got some news to tell me or something like that. I’m very interested to what he has to say.
