This weekend was pretty unique. Let’s see.

Yesterday Julie and I took the 2 bus to the korean market. We decided to make like rice cake links with spicy red bean paste or something like that, the same stuff we ate at the language festival match-off last year, I really wasn’t in the mood to eat it but I agreed anyways since she really looked like she wanted to have it. We got it, drank banana milk while we waited for the bus back and came back. When we got home we made all the stuff, kimchi rice and the rice cake dish. We had alot of rice leftover and Andrew just got back and we asked him if he wanted a little bit. Sean showed up and we asked if he wanted some too. Well, instead of just eating a little bit they ate alot. They just kept taking from the rice pan. Right when I was about to grab the frying pan handle and put the rice away for me to eat for lunch or something tomorrow, I see Andrew pick up the rice spoon and start scraping all the rice off the bottom and the side of the frying pan onto one side of the pan. I couldn’t believe he was going to take more! While he was doing it I thought, “no, maybe he isn’t going to do that and he’s just being nice and cleaning it up for us”, but I realized, come on he wouldn’t be doing that for us and I was right. After he scooped it up I said just go ahead and have the whole thing and he was like “oh, are you sure?”, and I’m like “yeah, there’s like nothing left anyways” and he was like ok. I don’t know I was pretty upset by it being that I planned to have that as two meals and save me some bucks for food tomorrow. Julie and I talked about it and she was mad too, she thought the same thing at first about him scraping it up to be nice first and that she was standing up to grab it and put it in the kitchen when Andrew started scraping the rice. Then, even after that happened, I picked up the rice cakes and I stood there for a second or did something to them I don’t remember what but then like Andrew said “Hey, don’t throw that away, I can have it for later or something” and I thought wtf. I just said uhh, ok. Sean said yeah and like agreed with him and I thought wtf. Andrew like was kind of smiling laughing while he said it too. Julie told me later she was like, why did he think that we were going to throw a huge bowl of it away? I don’t know like Julie and I always share the food we make with my roommates but they never share any food with us so I’m going to stop doing it. We talked about when we make big dishes like that to just put them in a container with like a lid in the fridge to avoid what happened last night. After that we played Risk and I was first out because I didn’t try to secure a continent while everyone else was. Sean won again with his asian fleet.

Friday I was at the monitor and it all of a sudden turns off. The power went out. Sean forgot to pay the electric bill and we wouldn’t be getting power back until Monday since the power company had weekends off. Alot of Sean’s fish died and the clownfish died because it was too cold. Nate called me and said people were at Marketplace so I went. Ayaka, Jackie, Akiko, and Nate were there and we sat around bullshitting for awhile. I called to invite Julie but she was in class. I talked to everyone and tried to get all of us to do something and we decided making some dinner at my house but later when we found out that I had no power it wasn’t going to happen and Ayaka had to help Jared apply for his job. Jackie wanted to clean her place before we had dinner there and she didn’t want me there so I walked around the bookstore for awhile before showing up. Well we went to the korean market and got some food and decided to surprise nate at his place. When we got there he wasn’t there even though his car was and his roommate was playing Gears of War in the living room. We decided to just make the food there and by the time it was done he would probably be back and so we made the food, ate it, and no Nate. When I talked on the phone to Julie I told her to take the bus to Nate’s, she didn’t go in the first place because she went to some korean survey or something that she was getting paid eight dollars for. So we decided to come back and went back to my house with no lights and I took out my beer and got Cunningham and we started drinking outside on the front porch. Later Julie came, then Venassa and Nate, and Nate bonged like 3 beers. We were drinking Pabs and Miller High Life my first time having High Life btw it’s not that great. We went to get more beer, and on the way Julie and I were talking about how she shouldn’t have been upset about making dinner without her and she just stopped walking and started to cry. I hugged her and told her that I didn’t know it meant that much to her and she apologized and everything and I did too. When we got to the beer store and I told Nate I wasn’t buying any cuz I already still have some at the house he was pissed. We came back and we lite up a bunch of candles and sat around the living room table and talked it was pretty cool. Charlie came by later too and joined us. I made food for people for that too, two nong shim spicy noodles and edamame.

I think the next day, maybe it was Saturday I think, we went with Donna to Julie’s house concert idea. oh boy. When we get there we see a really nice huge house, and when I walk in there are a bunch of asians in there along with some whites and a grand piano and everything. Fuck, definitely not what I expected a concert to be, they started playing the violin and what not. I sat next to some older lady that reminded me of a teacher and she looked like she really loved being in the high snob group, I think she was trying to take pictures of a little asian boy or something when he would look her way, weird. Julie looked back and Donna wasn’t there. Julie went to go see where Donna went and I stayed sitting. Then, a asian guy and a girl went up to sing the a whole new world song by Aladdin. I was expecting it to be really really good but when the guy started singing and he pronounced “world” “worlrd” I almost cracked up laughing, I tried hard not to smile or laugh. After the girl started singing a couple lines I exited the room too and saw them just sitting in the middle room. We left during intermission, after George was done playing “Happy Drums”, and we went to the mongolian barbeque. It was ok. Then we went to Meijer, bought a keystone for tyler, saw some fish, Donna bought like basketball stickers for Shin, and then we went to my house to drop the beer to tyler and get the Risk game and then we played Risk at Donna’s and I won. Julie was really tired and falling asleep and we went home.

I think Sunday, not sure, Julie and I walked all around OSU trying to find houses to buy. We then went back to her house and played risk.

Monday, the day before, Julie adn I decided to venture out and find the two unit for sale for $35,000. When we got to the street it was on and started walking down it it was a really nice neighborhood, but the farther we went especially after we crossed the train tracks it was pretty scary. When we got to the house there was a car full of black people driving real slow by it looking at it, and we were like oh boy. The house I guess wasn’t really that bad at all it’s just in a really really bad neighborhood. The neighbors were black and all out in front of their house behind the fence so we couldn’t see them but their big dog barked and scared both me and Julie. We decided to get back home pretty soon after that because we didn’t want to be walking around that area at dark.

When the power came on Monday I went to CNN website and that’s when I saw the story about a Virginia Tech shooter.

I did ok with my LUM stock afterall. I sold it two days ago I think, and got a profit of $420 in just one week! Yesterday it went up 10 cents so I could have gotten another hundred, but today last I checked it was down like 12 cents or something so I’m pretty happy about it. I sold it while I was in Stats class.

Oh yeah last night Andrew also showed us all this art or something by a kid named phil that he is crazy about and I think I will help Julie create a website for her work so she can become more famous and get money.

Today so far I went to Stats lab and we like measured our textbook with a paper ruler or something like that and it was pretty stupid/easy as all stats labs have been so far. While walking back, (I’ve decided to ban the bus to lose weight), I saw Shumpie talking to some girl and I crept up and interrupted them. What I heard her asking him was something like “wow, so do you make Japanese food?” and I got disgusted and that gosh, here’s another one. I have Radiology in about an hour I guess so I just might take a shower or decide what to do next.
