They were thin and healthy, starting doing stupid american things (like eating McDonalds), got fat, and did MORE stupid american things like go on diets. All they have to do is go back to eating good, healthy japanese food again. But.. they must be dumb, because they don't do it. Japanese have got to be the most stupid people in the world.

It's the same principle as the grapefruit diet and the Special K diet. You are eliminating a chunk of calories from your daily intake.
