« Julie’s Birthday | Home | Cents not Dollars »
I have class tomorrow.
Tomorrow is the first day of Spring classes. I’m taking stats, physics, and radiology 200. I haven’t paid for the quarter yet because I still have to get ahold of mom.
Turns out the Intel $11.25 per share dividend is true. I want to invest $5,000 ASAP before the share prices go any higher. That would buy me 250 shares and at $11.25 per share I would get $2812.50 before taxes are taken out. As long as Intel doesn’t go bankrupt within the next few months, I’m guarenteed to get that much.
Let’s see what happened yesterday. Albert got ahold of Julie and I and said that he would take us out for lunch, his treat, and so we went to the Hong Kong Buffet. After eating we went back to his apartment and spent some time up in his room listening to some of his karoake recordings from when he sang in Korea. It was ok listening to his first song or two but he just kept playing his songs and it got really boring after awhile, but I pretended to keep interest because I know it meant alot to him. Actually he’s not that bad of a singer but when he messes up he really messes up.
Well we decided we had nothing to do that day so we all went to Kroger and bought some alcohol and fruit. We got a bottle of white russian and one of those big bottles of cheap vodka for like $7.50 or something, and a sour apple chaser, and strawberries and tangerines. We went back to his place and he started making bulgogi, right after we got done eating at the chinese buffet restaurant! We were all full but he made it anyways.
So what we did was put the bulgogi frying pot on his living room table along with all the fruit and we started taking shots of soju and eating at 4pm. We turned on the tv to MTV2 to have some music and well Fergy played alot and I didn’t even know who she was until he told me.
It was pretty lame for awhile. We were struggling with things to talk about, and since we already ate at the chinese and buffet and were full we weren’t getting any pleasure of eating the snacks we made. I think probably after the two soju bottles and a little bit into the cheap vodka and sour apple chaser it started to get fun. It always seems like when you start drinking at a place you don’t like or you think it’s not going to be fun once you start drinking and get a little drunk it becomes the best place to be. We ran out of the apple chaser faster than we did of the vodka and so we had to mix up and pour the “fluids” into different bottles and it was pretty funny.
Donna came by later and she just had one beer and drove us back to my house for the little party. Before we left Donna reminded Albert of the birthday drink and so he got out ranch dressing, barbeque sauce, the rest of the soup from the spicy nong shim noodles we ate, and I guess some of the alcohol too and was making Julie to drink it. I told her I would drink it for her if she asked me to but she didn’t and she drink it in the bathroom over the toilet. She drank it all at once, but right after threw up. Julie was mad at him and called him a loser for the rest of the night.
When we got to my house there were more people there than I had expected. Nate, Jared, Ayaka, were all already there and having a good time. Albert was really really drunk and passed out on the living room couch. Donna and Julie mostly sat in the middle room and didn’t talk to the others much. Nate was really drunk and rocking out with Queen. Nate said that he tried talking to Donna and Albert but they didn’t talk to him and were just speaking to each other in Korean and he told them that he felt uncomfortable sitting with them because they were speaking korean and so he left. He thought that they were talking about him in Korean or something which is stupid. The party wasn’t really that fun but I tried to act like I was having alot of fun by smiling alot and stuff. I don’t really like doing that I’m going to have to stop it. The party was ok but it wasn’t that much fun I thought, even though I think everyone else had a good time but I couldn’t really tell for sure.
Donna didn’t think that anyone at the party wanted to go to karoake so she left and took Albert home. The fact is after she left Nate really wanted to go to karoake as well as pretty much everyone else and we called Donna to see if she still wanted to go but it didn’t work out. Nate was really pissed and was like “why the fuck did you think we didn’t want to go to karoake? We were totally singing and dancing in the living room like the whole time”. I then ate some spicy noodles again and I gave Nate some and he kept talking about how he loved them and the spicyness of them and how it reminded him of his first encounter with curry.
Julie was up most of the night with a stomach ache and puking it wasn’t fun, I felt sick and stuffed too. We were alot better in the morning. Julie made kimchi rice for breakfest and I sent her off home. It’s 9pm right now and I think I’m gonna go over to her place in a little while to watch tv with her.
