Good things for Nate

The day before I was surprised to see in Nate’s relationship status that he was going out with Akiko. I knew it was possible since they talk on MSN alot and Akiko recently broke up with her boyfriend from back home. Well, yesterday I pretty much found out it was official when Nate posted an album entitled “my lady and i” and had four pictures of them from his apple laptop camera. I’m really happy about this because I’m hoping it means that she is gonna hang out with all of us from now on. The only bad news is is that she’s only staying here until June 12th, which means I really wish it would have happened sooner. Better late than never I guess. It’s really cool now because pretty much all my friends have girlfriends, not only that, but asian girlfriends, which isn’t surprising because I met most of them by my Japanese class. The list of couples right now are: Julie and I, Jared and Ayaka, Alex and Akina, Miho and Shige, and now Nate and Akiko. Silly Jeff and Carolyn might justl like each other and go out, but Sakiko doesn’t like that. Sakiko wants to be the center of attention and have Carolyn all to herself. Yesterday Miho added me as a friend on facebook and then I decided to invite the rest I hadn’t online be-friended yet, including Akiko. When Nate told me about the Akiko thing, he said that there was some drama going on now at Morrison. It turns out that Vanessa liked Nate but never told him and when she found out about them going out she got furious, and they both live on the same floor and she won’t talk to Akiko. She wouldn’t talk to Nate either when he tried calling her. Haha oh boy I didn’t see that one coming! Julie said yeah she thought Vanessa might of had a crush on Nate but the thought had never crossed my mind at least. I guess their relationship can last for awhile too since she’s here now and Nate’s gonna be there for a whole year. I’m glad how finally Akiko realized how cool Nate actually is, when compared to the friends she was hanging out with before. That’s another thing, I can already see Judy pissed that Akiko got a boyfriend and especially Nate. Sakiko might be too.

Our view of Sakiko has changed, Nate, Julie and I. We used to think she was nice, but now we just think she’s a bitch. Sakiko goes crazy over seeing Andrew, but ignores Julie when Julie tries to just even say hello. There’s a big red flag right there - when someone is crazy over a person like Andrew, and doesn’t even say hello to Julie. There’s something really wrong going on there. Nate is also pissed at her partly because he felt she used him to get a ride to her house when she promised him guitar hero and when he took her back to her house after picking her up somewhere they didn’t even come into the living room, and the rest probably just because of how she is. I was surprised to see Nate to be the most harshest of all towards her, which is ok by me. The last time we saw her was when we ate the “freeway” at Kennedy and we grilled her. She brought a new friend like she always does, this time the guy was chinese, and she didn’t even say hi to me when she saw me getting food. Was she waiting for me to acknowledge her first? Ain’t gonna happen.

Yesterday was a Monday and so Julie and I unhappily got up from sleeping and walked each other to stats/home. When I got into stats class there was some bitch I never seen before take the back corner seat that I always sit in and had an apple laptop out. I was pissed. I thought maybe she got the idea to bring her laptop because she heard the login chime my laptop made in one of last week’s class even though I turned off the sound on it and it was very embarrising. Anyways I walked back home and just looked at stuff on the internet all day. Julie came over and I continued to surf facebook and digg or whatever and played some sixties and seventies songs that I thought she might like and she commented on. As a joke when Sean got back he heard one of the songs we were playin and started it on his computer, I think it was hollies bus stop. Later we went to drop off my books at the library and have her print out some stuff on our way to buying dinner at Wendy’s for the first time at the hospital. We brought back the food and watched an episode of ATHF, Robot Chicken, and Shin Chan on adultswim.com. It seems like ATHF and Robot Chicken episodes aren’t as good as the first ones anymore. I drank what was left of that flying dog beer I bought a couple weeks ago and just relaxed ate and watched. I was wondering why it felt so easy that day but I just couldn’t put my finger on it. I then layed down to what was supposed to be a short nap but I ended up sleeping until the morning which I should have figured was going to happen anyways. Nate called Julie’s phone while I was sleeping and woke me up half awake to tell me his good news: “I’m in!” “It’s official I’m going to Japan!”. He was really happy. I tried to be enthusiastic about congratulating him even though I knew he was going to get in anyways. And that was about the end of the day. Julie didn’t come to bed until around 3 in the morning because she was studying for her economy exam, bless her heart. But yeah in summary two really really good things happened to Nate which made the day pretty happy.
