A cooler room and risk!

I bought the L desk a couple days ago, and today Sean helped me get it to the house by asking a friend of a friend to use his truck. Sean had no idea the desk was going to be this big and already assembled or he wouldn’t have volunteered to do it. They got back the same exact time I got back from class, which I figured was probably going to happen even though I was hoping they would have come back sooner and brought it into the house. So we bring it in the house and the other Sean sees me and says “are you responsible for this?” and when I said he yeah said “get rid of it, now”. Well I was just waiting for someone to get home to help me to move it and to my surprise when I asked Sean to help me he did! That was definitely a surprise.

The day before yesterday I bought some LUM stock. I bought $5,000 dollars worth again, amounting to 625 shares of stock. I decided to buy it because the stock price was looking low and I figured I could probably make a quick buck because it was just going to shoot up again in no time. Well, the stock kept dropping. Today, the stock dropped some 50 cents, and now it’s at the lowest price it’s been in a year, and I am down the hole $380. A couple days ago a mortgage investor filed for bankruptcy, and I’ve been freaking out because of that all day and at the end of the day today I was wondering if I shouldn’t sell the stock and take the loss of $400. Basically I made the decision that I would wait tomorrow morning and see how the stock does then and decide from there. But when I went to the medical library with Julie for her to copy some bones pictures I checked my stock, and I caught the lucky break I was hoping for.

The stock was up $0.15 in after-hours. For a little bit I just figured it was because everyone realized that that was the bottom and the only place to go was the top, but I figured out the real reason once I read their new press release statement. LUM announced that they were going to adopt their stock repurchase program, and not sure if this was a good or bad thing I googled it and it turns out to be very good. I checked a little later tonight and the stock was up 37 cents. I’m really hoping that the stock will skyrocket tomorrow, maybe even up a couple of bucks and then I will dump it. We’ll see.

Julie left me a post-it-note love you message thing on my laptop and surprised me when I got back. I stickied them to my desk. Later on she brought over fettucini alfredo and New Orlean’s pasta and we both split it and ate half. Later on tonight we watched “Wicked Little Things”, on my flat screen monitor in my newly designed room. The movie mostly sucked, there were some very scary situation setups in the beginning but once you saw that the “zombies” or ghosts or whatever where actually just kids it was much less scarier. Julie is sleeping on my bed and I’m going to join her.
